How Do I Get Involved?

A helpful way to think about this is gathering, connecting, and committing.

Gathering

Our Sunday Morning worship service is the gateway into our church. Join us as we sing, pray, and hear God’s Word preached.

Service is on Sunday and starts at 10:30 AM and runs for about an hour and a half. Afterwards you can stick around with some coffee and get to know some of our members. Click here to learn more about our services.

Connecting

In addition to attending our Sunday Morning worship service, you can connect and get to know us by experiencing some of our other gatherings like:

  • Connect with us through our Prayer & Praise service. This is our “family time,” and a great way to meet the members of our church. During this time, you will also hear about life of our church as we also spend some time praying and hearing God’s Word preached. This service is on Sundays at 4:30 PM.

  • Connect with us through the Equipping Hour: Do you want to be equipped to live the Christian life? Our Equipping Hour is a great place for growing in your Christian walk and learning a bit more in a smaller group setting. This is on Sundays at 9:00 AM. Committing

As you’ve gathered and connected with our church, you may find Park Victoria Baptist Church as the place you want to make your church home. The steps for membership are simple:

  1. Membership Matters Course: Attend one of our quarterly Membership Matters courses. This is usually held on a Saturday, during which you will get to learn more about our church’s beliefs, history, and ministries.

  2. Q&A time with a Pastor: This is an informal time where you get to know one of our pastors, and they will get a chance to hear your story and answer any remaining questions you may have.

  3. Congregational Affirmation: This is the final step to membership, during which the church will hear from one of our pastors your desire to join the church, and the church will hear a summary of your testimony and vote you into our membership.

When can I serve in the church?

There are countless ways to serve here at Park Victoria Baptist Church, as many ways as there are members! After all, for those who are Christians, service to the body of Christ is a primary way that we live out the gospel message (Matthew 25:40).

As someone new to our church, though, we want to serve you and see your spirit nurtured in this community before we ask anything of you.  This is why membership is the entryway for service in our church (from volunteering in childcare to assisting with the coffee to leading a bible study).  We want you to commit to loving this body, and we want to commit to loving you in the same way.  Then together, we can discover the unique gifts and opportunities God has provided for you to serve this church.
